Student Code of Conduct

A. STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS.

B. If a child has a behavior problem the solution rests first with the student, then the teacher, and then the parents. All three people are responsible for the student's education and should work together to solve any problems as they arise.

C. Lying, cheating, stealing and similar behavior will not be tolerated in any form.

D. Profanity and vulgarity will not be allowed.

E. Students may not be kept more than 10 minutes after school unless parents are notified.

F. Any defacing or damaging of school property will result in student's replacement of item(s) damaged.

G. Any toy or apparatus that could harm another child should be left at home.

H. General behavior at school:

1. All students will walk quietly in the halls.
2. Students will play on the black top area West of the school and on the lawn area South of the Big Toy.
3. Students should not play near the trash dumpster.
4. Snowballing and rock throwing are not allowed.
5. All bicycles are to be parked in the bicycle rack. If a student is found to be riding their bicycle during school hours, the bicycle will be confiscated.
6. Skateboards, roller skates/blades, scooters, game boys, CD & Cassette Recorders are not allowed at school.

I. All students are responsible to all teachers and staff members.

J. Students are not to leave the school grounds without knowledge of the principal.

K. Students are not to arrive at school any earlier than 7:45 a.m. (15 minutes before school starts) if a Track 1 student or 9:15 a.m. if they are a Track 2 student.

J. Any student bringing matches, knives, or other types of weapons to school will be suspended and the police may be asked to become involved with the student and their parents.
